Our comprehensive, trauma-informed doula training program is designed to meet Medi-Cal Doula Training Pathway requirements and support aspiring Doulas.

To earn your certificate and qualify for Medi-Cal enrollment, you must:
Securing a business license & liability insurance are required for insurance enrollment but not to receive your doula training certificate.
While we strive to ensure all required topics are covered, participants must also attend three births to meet insurance enrollment criteria.

Payment Options
To make doula training more accessible, Equity in Birth offers a flexible payment structure.
Training fees are divided by the Medi-Cal/Partnership HealthPlan enrollment requirement sections, allowing participants to pay for each module individually and spread out the cost over time.
✅ All seven core training sections must be completed to receive a Doula Certification Certificate from Equity in Birth.
✅ This certificate can be submitted as part of your application to enroll with Medi-Cal and Partnership HealthPlan.

This 9-hour in-person training fulfills two of Medi-Cal/Partnership HealthPlan enrollment requirements. These are prenatal support and a community resource list. The day includes lunch and snacks plus covers key topics such as the role and scope of a doula and offers in person breastfeeding techniques.
This 9-hour in-person training fulfills two of Medi-Cal/Partnership HealthPlan enrollment requirements. These are non-medical comfort measures and labor support techniques. The day includes lunch and snacks plus covers key topics such as postpartum support and perinatal substance use and mental health disorders.
This module fulfills the Medi-Cal/Partnership HealthPlan requirement for Anatomy & Physiology plus Childbirth Education and provides training in 2 of seven core topics required for enrollment.
This module fulfills the Medi-Cal/Partnership HealthPlan requirement for Breastfeeding/Lactation and is one of seven core topics required for enrollment.
